ABOUT US
Since our founding, GlobeMed at GW has been connected to a wider network of GlobeMed chapters at other universities, facilitated by a national headquarters, GlobeMed HQ. However, as of October 2022, GlobeMed HQ has officially dissolved. Everything about GlobeMed at GW will stay the same—our amazing community, our yearly events, and, of course, our partnership with Set Her Free! From now on, we will be operating independently as many university student organizations do, rather than as part of a larger national network.

OUR PARTNER
GlobeMed at GW partners with Set Her Free, a non-profit organization located in Kampala, Uganda. Set Her Free provides women and girls with the tools they need to live self-determined lives through education, vocational training, and rehabilitative services necessary. The program not only provides a temporary residence, but also offers formal education, technical training, counseling, medical care, mentoring, and resettlement opportunities; services geared toward giving young women the necessary tools for a healthy, stable, and independent future. GlobeMed at GW fundraises for Set Her Free throughout the year with our awareness events around campus.
